I think a newsletter is important for every writer
I read an article about the newsletter a few days back and I thought everything that was mentioned there was true.
You know how social media works today. The information, text posts, newsletter links, blog links, etc., that are shared on social media will absolutely silence you. With the major traffic going on there, your email is your saviour.
Your email has your loyal readers. Imagine they don’t share it anywhere, but they definitely learn something or feel happy reading your piece. It is enough to build a readership.
You can easily set up a newsletter with small simple steps.
Substack is one among them. Most of the medium writers have faced less viewership experience recently. The creators here with thousands of followers have the same complaint. Because it is slowly becoming competitive with growth stories all over. Do you not agree to this?
If you are planning to write a book, sell your product that helps writers, or just expand your writing career with a strong readership, email should be your first preference. Technology may change the way people react, but never dulls the older ways of communication. Email has always been the safest place for communication and it still is.
Email Newsletters are becoming a trend now more than ever. Don’t ever think that your writing is not getting views, search for ones where readers are dedicating time to read. It takes time if you are starting afresh now, but it is worth all the hard work.
